| (P724)?Digest: | Based on the 23,112 data from the Schleswig-Holstein census of 13 February 1803, the team for early modern occupational structures developed its own system for the classification of job titles and requirement levels (occupational positions) based on other historical classification approaches for occupations (Karl H. Kaufhold, Ingwer E. Momsen, Robert J. Morris, Lars Hennings), which is hierarchically arranged into a standard designation, two sub-groups, a super-group (industries) and an occupational sector. This is a classification model for recording job profiles in industries and economic sectors. In addition to the traditional sectors, industries for unspecified wage labour and non-employed strata were also introduced in order to capture inaccuracies in the historical occupational data without data loss. The data was collected in Dbase format and later transferred to SPSS. They are available in the database of the Historical Data Centre Saxony-Anhalt. |
