| (P724)?Digest: | The Common Authority File (GND) is a authority file maintained since 2012 by the German National Library in cooperation with all German-language library networks and many other institutions for persons, corporate bodies, conferences, geographies, subject headings and works relating to cultural assets and cultural and scientific collections. Libraries in particular use the GND to index publications. Increasingly, archives, museums, cultural and scientific institutions as well as scientists in research projects are also working with the GND. There are currently ten million data records in the GND, including over 200,000 subject headings. |
