(P724)?Digest:	The thesaurus was developed to standardise word lists and terminology in the cultural services of the Rhineland Regional Association and to facilitate data exchange. Wortnetz Kultur does not see itself as a finished product, but is constantly being expanded and quality-assured. We work in a very needs-orientated way, which means that we are in close contact with our internal and external correspondents and work together on questions relating to indexing or the search for suitable terms for digital cultural objects. An integrated media database gives us the option of supplementing the terms with image files to illustrate the meaning of the terms. We are happy to use images from the in-house collections of our partners. In this way, a small insight into museum collections is possible. The vocabulary is available to interested users as linked open data via the WNK Viewer. Each term can be uniquely addressed using a universal identifier (URI).
