The result is a validated and easily operationalised socioeconomic classification for use in comparative European analyses of issues related to health and socioeconomic inequalities. This classification includes categorisations of occupations (ISCO 88), employment status (SEC), company size and labour market position. The ESEC report documents further necessary steps and tasks.
