(P724)?Digest:	The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) 2020 is the current national standard for occupational classification in Great Britain in 2024, national standard for occupational classification in Great Britain with a concordance to the previous versions of SOC 1990, SOC 2000 and SOC 2010. SOC2010 was developed between 2007 and 2010 and supplemented with a revision version. The current 2020 version was last revised in January 2023. There is also a concordance with the International Classification ISCO 2008. A total of almost 30,000 standardised job titles are transferred to a four-digit job classification that organises activities into job groups. In addition, the national socioeconomic classification (see also EsGC and ESeC) is derived from the SOC 2010. The National Archives provide the services of the National Statistical Office. In collaboration with other institutions and organisations providing data services, tools (software, concordances) have been developed for the curation and classification of original-language job titles. However, these are not offered publicly in the archive, but are referenced via the Warwick Institute for Employment Research.
