(P724)?Digest:	According to its own descriptions, the STW Thesaurus for Economics is the world's most comprehensive German-English thesaurus for economics and related fields, developed as a general indexing and retrieval tool. With almost 6,000 headwords and more than 200,000 associated standardised synonyms, it covers many specific economic subjects and the most important related subjects. The ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, the German National Library of Economics, continuously publishes and updates the STW. The thesaurus is divided into seven main groups (macroeconomics, business economics, economic sectors, products, neighbouring sciences, geographical terms, general terms). For each keyword, a persistent identifier, related terms and cross-concordances are given in addition to the generic term and the thesaurus classification. The vocabulary, which has been developed since the 1970s, is available for download in a comprehensive form with documentation, a historical outline, linked open data and in various technical versions. There are extensive links and cross-concordances to other vocabularies such as GND, EconBIZ, DBpedia, Wikidata, AGROVOC, EuroVoc, TheSoz, JEL, SDMX and others.
