The study on life courses in the GDR developed and published in the data documentation a classification of occupational activities and training in the GDR (Appendix A, Heike Solga); the GDR-specific classification of occupational positions (Appendix B: Karl Ulrich Mayer and Heike Solga) and the allocation of the ISCO codes of these occupations with named illustrations of occupations (Appendix C).
