(P724)?Digest:	The classification develops the preferred term for a total of 28 languages, each from four different qualifications: transversal skills (T), skills (S), knowledge (K) and language skills (L). These four types of qualification are differentiated differently within the structure. The aim is to develop a hierarchy of qualifications and their assignment to occupations. The sources of the ESCO were mainly job advertisements for modern occupations. The aim is to develop the qualification profiles of different occupations and occupational groups and to organise them into qualification groups. A total of 13,939 qualifications are available, with the range in the different languages varying greatly in terms of quantity. These qualifications are currently assigned to a total of 3,039 occupations, which in turn are available in the ISCO-08 system.
